Mendis fifty keeps SL's hopes alive

We will have a result in what has turned out to be a pulsating Test match, the only one between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe - unless the weather intervenes. The hosts need 218 runs for a historic record chase, the visitors need 7 wickets to pull off a coup and register their first Test win against Sri Lanka. Fair to say, the Test is on the balance. All the Sri Lankan batsmen got starts,
but only Kusal Mendis has made it count - the number three has battled cramps on his way to an unbeaten 60 and he will be the linchpin of this chase. Karunaratne, Tharanga and Chandimal, the three men dismissed on a pitch which is showing natural wear and tear - despite being anywhere but spiteful. Mathews is other key in this chase and he's started off well. It will be a tight chase with Cremer holding the key for the visitors. Can the Zimbabwean captain spin his team to victory?
